Plant-based passengers can now enjoy over 300 brand-new dishes, as Emirates enhances its vegan menu in response to an increasing number of meat-free flyers.
The menu offers a variety of choice, including tasty crepes, curries and indulgent sweet treats.
A UK-based airline claims to serve approximately 40,000 vegan meals annually, also offering options for children.
Vegan options for children regularly feature vegan pizzas, sweet and sour vegetable casseroles, vegetable fajitas, vegan muffins, cauliflower bites coated in a sweet sauce, and sweet treats like strawberry crumbles and vegan chocolate puddings.

Emirates' chefs created the menu items, testing out various vegan options, including a new, solid egg substitute for a spicy shakshuka sauce, and a pre-made vegan pastry sheet for making vegetarian cannelloni.
The ingredients used in the new dishes come from well-known brands, including Beyond Meat, as well as fresh produce from the world's largest hydroponic farm, which covers an area of around 330,000 square feet and produces over a million kilograms of leafy greens annually.

Emirates has been offering vegan options on flights for a number of years, but its latest additions are likely to prove very appealing to vegan passengers, as well as those seeking lighter meals at an altitude of 11,600 meters.
The news has been greeted with enthusiasm by regular travellers. “Just last week I flew with Emirates and the vegan options on all four flights were excellent,”one satisfied flyer posted on Instagram. Another passenger also gave Emirates a thumbs up, stating: “I can vouch for Emirates. Their vegan meals are of high quality!”
Another person said simply: ‘Thank you Emirates’.

The airline has recently made individual vegan milk servings available on its flights, with over 30,000 passengers per month choosing this option to accompany their coffee or tea.
Several Emirates cabin crew members choose a plant-based diet, and the airline has provided vegan meal options for them for nine consecutive years.
