Over 500 Russian targets destroyed: Weekly summary of combat operations
The Ukrainian Air Force has released its summary of the past week's activities. Over 500 enemy targets were destroyed, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
The military announced that between 20 January and 26 January, air defence forces intercept and destroyed over 500 enemy aerial targets, consisting of:
・2 guided aviation missiles;
・375 Shahed-type attack drones;
・71 reconnaissance drones;
59 of other types of drones.
Over the course of the week, the Air Force's tactical aviation carried out over 30 sorties for:
・aerial reconnaissance,
・fighter cover,
・fire missions,
Cloud and air support for ground forces.
Air Force aviators conducted numerous airstrikes in opposition-held areas, utilising various types of bombs and missiles with the aim of targeting command centres, organisations of equipment, and personnel.
Throughout the week, airmen from the Joint Rifle Brigade of the Royal Air Force were involved in:
・64 FPV drone strikes,
・144 successful UAV drops,
・11 rifle engagements,
・1,100 UAV reconnaissance flights.
The military has confirmed that they attacked and destroyed enemy personnel, installations, equipment, ammunition stores and numerous aerial targets,
It's worth noting that, as of January 26th in the morning, Russia's military forces had suffered over 1,700 casualties in a 24-hour period. To date, since the initiation of the large-scale incursion into Ukraine, the enemy has sustained losses of approximately 830,190 military personnel.
We have also noted that, over the past day, there have been over 150 clashes. The Pokrovsk direction was the most problematic area, with the enemy accounting for over a third of the attacks there.
In addition, the enemy launched 32 drone strikes using 59 Katyusha rockets, conducted over 650 drone attacks, and bombarded Ukrainian military installations and residential areas more than 4,000 times during the day.
