Coca-Cola has just launched a brand new flavour with a nostalgia twist

Coca-Cola is about to introduce a fresh flavour, bringing a dash of nostalgia to its century-old cola.

Our new cream drink will be available in two variations: a standard version and a sugar-free alternative.

The company claims the mix of cola, orange, and vanilla flavours is a direct reaction to increasing consumer demand for comforting, readily recognisable tastes.

Following Carvel's reintroduction of the Orange Dreamy Creamy ice cream last year, it's clear that the flavour is seeing a resurgence in popularity. Even a major fast-food chain like Wendy's joined in on the craze with its Orange Dreamsicle Frosty launch in spring.

Coca-Cola's latest move into unique flavour combinations isn't a new concept for the company. Their 2022 "Coca-Cola Creations" project introduced a range of limited-edition flavours, including coconut, strawberry, and even an Oreo-inspired variant, packaged in attention-grabbing designs. The introduction of Orange Cream is another attempt to reinvigorate the brand by offering fresh twists on the classic Coca-Cola taste.

In February, the company launched raspberry-flavored Coca-Cola Spiced and claimed it would be a permanent addition to their product range. However, they unexpectedly withdrew the product from the market in September, stating that it will be replaced by a new flavour later this year.

Coca-Cola Orange Cream won't be a standard flavour, but it will continue to be available to purchase until at least the end of the first quarter in 2026.

In a past interview, Coca-Cola's senior marketing manager for North America, Shakir Moin, mentioned that traditionally, the company would require a minimum of a year to create a new product. However, it is now seeking to speed up the process.

"People are changing their shopping habits quicker than ever. The retail industry is advancing at an even faster pace. We must adapt and move more quickly than the market trends," he noted.
