The annual event commemorates the six million Jewish people who were brutally murdered during the Holocaust, as well as the millions of other innocent lives lost due to Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides.
Both the Prince and the Princess, later known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, attended a service to commemorate the 75th anniversary in 2020, with Kate also capturing photographs of Holocaust survivors at Kensington Palace.
Kate, aged 43, made a surprise comeback to public appearances earlier this month, expressing gratitude to the medical staff at The Royal Marsden hospital in London, who had previously treated her for cancer.
She has since stated it was "a relief to now be in remission" and is "looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead".
The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust is inviting people across the UK to participate in a nationwide tribute at 8pm on Monday by lighting candles in their windows.
Iconic structures and notable edifices will also be illuminated with purple lighting as a demonstration of unity.

The monarch has paid a visit to Auschwitz in Poland for remembrance, and will be attending a ceremony on the site of the former concentration camp on Monday, accompanied by survivors and other prominent visitors.
Prior to the ceremony, Charles met with Holocaust survivors at the Krakow Jewish Community Centre, which he had opened in 2008, and smiled and exchanged greetings with dozens of onlookers outside the building. Some people extended their hands to be shaken by the King, while others held up their mobile phones to photograph his visit.
Her Majesty spoke during a visit at the centre, describing Holocaust Memorial Day as "a time to remember the darkest depths of human nature, when evil is allowed to prevail and the world fails to act promptly enough to stop it".
He cautioned: "At a time when the world is still marred by turmoil and conflict and has seen a resurgence of antisemitism, there is no message that can be more crucial..."
Reminding ourselves of the dark aspects of our history remains a crucial priority.
